BELGIAN BEER SPENT GRAIN
FROM RESIDUE TO SUPERFOOD

We reuse Beer Spent Grain (BSG) and transform it into a highly nutritious superfood for human consumption.
Starch from cereal grains (barley, wheat, oats, maize, etc.) is used for the manufacture of beer.
The spent grain is the residue from the brewing of these cereals that we recover and valorize, in dried grain and flour.
We are upcycling meaning recycling from the top. With the aim of a circular economy, we transform waste – spent grain – into high-end food with high nutritional properties and give it new life.
NextGrain has found a solution to reduce the impact of waste on the environment and thus convert a problem into resources.
We also contribute to reducing the quantity of cereals to be cultivated by reusing those already harvested for the production of beer. This is a second non-negligible impact in the context of global warming, rising grain prices and global food issues.
